Last night #HurtBae was trending. The hashtag could have applied to any one of us. Many of us have scarred and scorned by relationships. But it referenced a particular woman, a woman who had not only been hurt by her ex-boyfriend but one who had a chance to sit down with him and discuss the ways in which he hurt her and listen to his response to it all. If you’re like me, you may have been troubled by the fact that her ex seemed to show very little remorse for his actions. The part where he asked her why she stayed with him when she was constantly checking his phone. It’s a valid question but also makes you wonder why he didn’t break up with her if he knew he couldn’t be faithful. I mean, this dude said he didn’t count the number of women he’d slept with. Gross.
